Re: Speed Up the Performance of Vista

Very nice guide. One of the best I've seen for boosting Vista perfromance.I'm an avid gamer so I've done a lot of these already but I found a few I hadn't.I deff. noticed an improvement thank you.

Re: Speed Up the Performance of Vista

I just tried the reboot time script and my results were 560 seconds.
wondering why it's so slow and what i can do to resolve this? Is there something i can enable to capture what is taking so lone to reboot?

Thanks
Dave

Re: Speed Up the Performance of Vista

Hello Dave, and welcome to Vista Forums.

The items in the tutorial on the first page should help increase your computers performance. You can also view the startup logs in Event Viewer (C:\Windows\system32\eventvwr.msc) under Applications and Services Logs, Microsoft, Windows, Diagnostics-Performance, and Operational. The logs will be in the middle to show you what ran at startup, how long it took, and more information about them.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Hello Meultje, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Not sure if you are asking this or not, but yes all of this works for both the 32-bit and 64-bit Vista.
