| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Context Menu - Add COPY TO FOLDER and MOVE TO FOLDER Hello Rourke, Adding these context menu items alone should not have caused this, but you may have some other menu items that are interfering with these causing this slow context menu opening. If you remove the context menu items you added from this tutorial, does the context menu open at normal speed again? If you have recently installed any 3rd party programs that also adds context menu items, then you might try temporarily disabling them to see if that may be the source of this problem. You can use the free program ShellExView and look for all Context Menu item Types. It may take a bit, but disable the ones you suspect may be the cause a few at a time until the problem is no longer there. Afterwards, you can enable the ones that were not the cause again. Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Context Menu - Add COPY TO FOLDER and MOVE TO FOLDER Your welcome Rourke. You can easily enable the ones that you have already disabled again in ShellExView though. Did uninstalling the COPY TO FOLDER and MOVE TO FOLDER items return your context menu back to normal? |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Context Menu - Add COPY TO FOLDER and MOVE TO FOLDER Thank you for making this thread and giving users so many tips! I registered just so I could ask you guys a question regarding the context menu. Back in the XP days there was a way to add a toggle for hidden files to the context menu. Just right click, then click show hidden files, and it would toggle hidden files on and off. Do you know how i could add such a think to Vista x64? Sadly the way i made it work for xp does not work with vista. this is where i originally got the "show hidden files" toggle from: http://forums.techguy.org/tech-tips-...iles-file.html |
