Re: Logon with Username and Password

Mikhayah,

It sounds like something got corrupted somewhere. You may end up having to do a reinstall. Try to see if you can gain access by resetting the password. If nothing else, you may be able to create a new Administrator account in Safe Mode to use and delete the others after you transfer anything you want to keep.

Reset User Account Password

Username+password and one visible account?

Can you make the logon screen have one "other user" account where you have to put the username and password like you described in this article but also have one visible account right next to it? (can you also title that logon box that makes you require the name+password "Other User"

Re: Logon with Username and Password

Hi The Guardians,

Welcome to Vista Forums.

Sorry, but no. You can only have it set like in this tutorial or like it was by default with all use account icons displayed at logon.

Sorry,
Shawn

Re: Logon with Username and Password

Oh, because I thought I saw something like this on a school computer where there was a visible account called "Student" and another called "other user" where you have to put your username and password.

Re: Logon with Username and Password

I'm not sure The Guardians. If it was that way, they may have been using some 3rd party program that would allow that.
