Hello Semievolved, and welcome to Vista Forums.
Sure thing. The tutorial below can help show yow how to get and post a screenshot.
Are you currently logged in an administrator account to delete this other user account?
If so, then you might see if you may be able to delete it using Option Three in the tutorial below instead.
Hope this helps,
Shawn
hi, , thanks for the response.
i am logged in as administrator. thank you for the tutorials you sent but i have vista, not windows 7 and it appears those don't work on vista. is that true or did i not dig deep enough?

Sure, it will work with Vista as well if there's not something else wrong preventing it.![]()
hi shawn and thanks again for your suggestions.
i apologize for my ignorance but i do not find "Local Users and Groups" even though i did a search for it. where do i locate this in Vista? is it possible my version of vista (home premium) doesn't have this?
also, i was searching other related threads on this forum and one poster indicated that the delete user option was not available for Vista Home Premium. that seems kind of crazy so i wanted to hear whether you thought that was possible.

Yeah, "Local Users and Groups" is not available in Vista Home Premium.
You should be able to use OPTION THREE in the tutorial to delete the user account in a elevated command prompt.
If you like go ahead and post some screenshots showing this to see if any other issue may be at hand.![]()
