Hi Bmb,

It will not hurt anything to leave Windows Defender turned on since it is not a antivirus or firewall program that you can only have one of each of these installed, but you will need to leave Windows Firewall turned off since you are using another firewall with Nod32.

It's your choice, but you can leave the services running or stop and disable them. It will not hurt anything either way. I have not personally had any problems with disabling them, then enabling and starting them again later.
