How to Turn Sticky Keys On or Off in Vista
Information
Instead of having to press three keys at once (such as when you must press the CTRL + ALT + DELETE keys together to log on to Windows), you can use one key by turning on Sticky Keys and adjusting the settings. This way, you can press a modifier key and have it remain active until another key is pressed.
NOTE
By default, Sticky Keys is turned off in Vista, but has the Keyboard shortcut turned on that can toggle Stickey Keys On or Off.
Tip
  Sticky Keys Keyboard Shortcut
1. Press the Shift key five times to toggle Stick Keys On or Off.

NOTE: This option is turned on by default in Vista. To turn the keyboard shortcut off uncheck this option. See video below and step 4 for how.

Angry Re: Sticky Keys

I can not turn off the annoying sticky key function, I have tried unchecking the sticky keys box and clicking apply in the EASE OF ACCESS CENTER but it still does not work. I've even pressed the SHIFT key five times and it still doesn't do anything. Am at the end of my teether with it. My machine now keeps bleeping at me. Even when I reboot the machine, its still bleeping and sticky keys in on ... grrrrrrrr ... can anyone help ?

Re: Sticky Keys

Hi Sam, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Did you also uncheck the Turn on Sticky Keys when Shift is pressed five times and the other options in frame 5 of the video?
