Re: Windows Mail Signatures

Hi Damasta112,

This is not the same for Windows Live Mail. It only for Windows Mail.

You can create your signature in Windows Mail using the instructions here and then add it to Windows Live Mail.

Add by clicking:

1. Tools - Options.
2. Signatures tab - New
3. Dot File
4. Browse
5. Navigate to and select file created in Windows Mail.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: Windows Mail Signatures

Damasta,

Windows Live Mail does not have the Source Edit option. Instead, open Windows Mail and make the signature as instructed in the tutorial. Selecting the created HTM signature file in Windows Live Mail is the same as in Windows Mail though.

If you meant that you are using Windows Mail, then Source Edit is only available in a compose email message window.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

You can, but you have to select the other signature when you want to switch.

I would set one as your default signature. When you want to use the other one, just click on Insert, Signature, and select the other signature to add it while you are composing or replying to the message. If you do not want to set a signature as default, then you can simply select one of them when you want to add it instead.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: Windows Mail Signatures

Hi Mamasaba,

Are you using a image with your signature? If so, since the signature file has to be under 4KB, you will need to use a image hosting website and link your image to it instead in the signature if it is to large.

Please give more details on what you are trying and what part is not working for you.

Hope this helps for now,
Shawn

Re: Windows Mail Signatures

Hi Brink
I am trying to add a signature that has a link in it, but I would like instead of the link itself the words click here or something to that nature.
When I add my signature in windows mail it does not show up when I create mail, and when I insert it the link is not highlighted to click on.
Please help. I am going crazy trying to get this right

Re: Windows Mail Signatures

Mamasaba,

You should be able to just Copy the web address from the IE7 address bar and Paste it into the signature from step 6 or step 7C depending on which one you are using.
