Re: String manipulation using replace etc.

The objective is to replace all lower or upper case alphabet "o" to a
number zero in the string "opt". Is there a way to do this Opt is
entered by the user and will vary with each input.

This is waht I have done and its not working
================================
opt="o3050406252602O127152816"
wscript.echo ReplaceTest(left(opt,2),"o","0")
extract2=ReplaceTest(left(opt,2),"o","0")
extract2=ReplaceTest(left(opt,2),"oM","01")
extract2=ReplaceTest(left(opt,2),"oT","02")

Function ReplaceTest(str2,patrn, replStr)
Dim regEx ' Create variables.
Set regEx = New RegExp ' Create regular expression.
regEx.Pattern = patrn ' Set pattern.
regEx.IgnoreCase = True ' Make case insensitive.
ReplaceTest = regEx.Replace(str2, replStr) ' Make replacement.
End Function
