possible to change folder security?

Wondering if this is something I can accomplish with VBScript: I want to
change the security settings on a folder that's part of a package I'm
installing (trying to install silently or at least unattended, so no user
intervention is required).

What I want to do is remove the existing Permission entries for the folder
(I get to this by right-clicking the folder, choosing "Properties", then the
"Security" tab, then the "Advanced" button). After that I'd like to have the
two check boxes selected ("Inherit from parent the permission entries..." and
"Replace permission entries on all child objects...").

The environment is Windows XP, Service Pack 2, with Windows 2003.

This is usually done with cacls.exe.
