Password change script

All,

Has anybody got a script that will take the users logon and password, check
its valid, then allow the user to change there password?

This is using AD on Windows. And will be fired from another application on a
server in the domain.

Regards

Mark.

How are your users connecting? If they are logging in at member workstations
connected to the network, just tell them to do it the normal way with
ctrl-alt-del.

I'd be very careful, as any script or program that does what you suggest
will be a magnet for attack, while at the same time conditioning your users
to enter their actual passwords whenever asked.

I have to agree with Al on this one. However, I did have a situation
where there were 2 domains and I had to come up with a way for
users to change passwords on the second domain whitout logging
in to that domain. In that case, I used a batch file that made a call
to an executable to change the password. Both files were located
in a shared folder and accessed via UNC. If interested, bounce
me an e-mail and I can share it with you if you like.
