| | Format the system volume I'm working on a script for Windows deployment that is supposed to detect the active partition on the computer's first disk and reformat it (and leave all other partitions alone). The script will run in Windows PE 2.0, so I can use WMI classes introduced with Windows Vista. I've been trying to figure out how to use Win32_DiskPartition and Win32_Volume to coordinate this format. The trouble is, Win32_DiskPartition doesn't know anything about volumes, and Win32_Volume doesn't know anything about partitions. Does anybody have any advice on the basic flow of this script? I know how to script WMI; I'm just not sure which classes and methods have the tools I need. -- David Trimboli Windows Systems Analyst Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory |
