a simple menu

hi all,
i'm on xp pro and was wondering if someone could please help me build a
simple dos menu like the following:

Welcome:
1. Run Notepad
2. Run Excel
3. Exit

And also, could someone show me the same thing done in vbscript?

thanks,
rodchar

Have a look at your identical post in the batch.nt newsgroup, then check out
this link about the merit of cross-posting versus multi-posting:
http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm. One increases the exposure of
your post, the causes duplication of effort and irritates potential
respondents.

Re: a simple menu

wow! talk about "eagle eye." I had no idea they would get crossed up like
that I apologize for the duplication.

Re: a simple menu

I fixed a MENU.001 file (from the DOS days). It is a text file that fills
up 23 lines of text. Each # corresponds to 1.BAT, 2.BAT, .... Inside each
batch file, CLS, run the respective program, then CD back to the MENU
folder, and write the MENU.001 to the screen for the next command.
