I think, Richard did some very interesting things with logonscripts.
His website does not deal with classes or something like that, but it is surely worth a visit.

IMHO, logon scripts are best kept simple. Instead of finding ways to use all
of the available vbscript functionality (such as classes), I'd recommend you
first document what it is that your old scripts did and what it is that you
expect the new ones to do. At the same time keeping in mind that perhaps
some of the old functionality may have been dictated by the scripting
capability available at the time, and that there might be better ways of
accomplishing the same thing.
