| | Using SUM with ADODB object What am I doing wrong here? I expect to recieve a value that is the total for all values in the column 'TotalItems' from the spreadsheet server.xls. Instead, I get the error: "The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object 'MailServer'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly." The code I am testing with is shown below. dbPath = "C:\desktop\Server.xls" con.Open "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & dbPath&";Extended Properties=""Excel 8.0;HDR=Yes;"";" rs.Open "SELECT Sum('TotalItems') as TotalItems FROM MailServer",con -- Scott A.
