Can I pass parameters when opening Word

I would like to pass a parameter when I open Word 2003. This is my code so far:

dim appword, filename
filename="C:\Test.doc"
set appword = createobject("word.application")
appword.documents.Add

I would like to pass "filename" to Word. Is this possible?
Thanks.
Karin

Karin,

You might try something like this:

Documents.Add "C:\...\Templates\Normal.dot" ' your default template
ActiveDocument.SaveAs "myNewFileName.doc"

Of course the above WD methods have other parameters. I assume
here that you can live with the defaults.

cheers, jw
