Re: Synchornize date script

This is the result for the script:
Thu 06/25/2009 22:13:57.25 schedule
System error 5 has occurred.

Access is denied.

And how do I know? because I changed the date to this computer for test,
and when I log in it is not updating the hour.

Re: Synchornize date script

The account you created does not have sufficient authority to do what it is
supposed to do. Log on under this account, then try to run the command
manually from a Command Prompt. I suspect it fails because the account has
no access rights on your server and is therefore treated as an intruder.
Creating a matching account/password on the server would immediately solve
the problem.

I have two possible solutions to offer:

#1: Log on as administrator and issue the below command from a command
prompt. Watch for line wrapping, it should be on a single line

schtasks.exe /Create /TN "Sync Time" /SC ONSTART /RU System /TR "net.exe
time \\servername /set /yes"

#2: Grant the 'SeSystemtimePrivilege' privilege to the local 'Users' group
using 'ntrights.exe' from the 2003 Resource Kit:

ntrights.exe +r SeSystemtimePrivilege -u Users

You can get the resource kit here:

Re: Synchornize date script

Richard, James and Pegasus

Thank you very much for your advice, I created the same account in my
server and that fixed my problem and also I created the schedule task in
the script and now Im able to create it in all my computers very quickly.

Again, thank you for your support.
