| | Folder Script Hi, I have not written scripts but understand they are the replacement for bat files which I used to use. I don't know if this is the right application to do what I need or not or even how to go about constructing the file. So any help is greatly appreciated. I have one folder with several hundred sub-folders. Currently I manually open each subfolder and click on the Type button of the top bar until I get an upward pointing triangle, then I click the view button and select thumbnails. Once is not bad, however, I usually add 30-40 folders a week and make changes to the names of about the same number so that means about 60-80 file modifications a week. Recently I upgraded(?) to IE8 and lost all the folder settings. So what I am asking is there a simple script that would automate the subfolder modifications and let me do productive work vs folder modifications. Thanks for your help! If this isn't the right application for scripting can you suggest what I might use? |
