Hi,
I have created a logon script for all users that maps a desktop shortcut
however i need to prevent this from running on certain computers, roughly 10
machines. Is there a way of adding to script dont run if user is logging
onto these machine names.

Thanks for the feedback. Other than the helpfile script56.chm (which you can
download from the Microsoft site), I don't really know any tutorials. I
suggest you start another thread with the Subject "VB Script tutorial for
beginners".

I would suggest "Microsoft Windows 2000 Scripting Guide". I have the book,
but the entire text is available online at:

Includes an introduction to VBScript with many examples. You can use the
