All this tool does is that it *copies* the data from one VHD file into
another with a different size. It does *not* resize the partitioning
on the new VHD file nor does it replace the old VHD with the new one
after it is done. And the copy is pretty slow too. :-(

With this tool you have to rename the new VHD file to the old name
after first renaming the old file to a different name.
Then the old guest will start again, but it will have *no* extra space
available due to the missing resizing of the partition.

An alternative solution is to use VPC2007 disk wizard to create a new
empty but bigger virtual disk, then attach it as disk 2 to the guest.
Then boot up the guest with a Ghost or Acronis imaging disk and
transfer the system disk to the new empty disk.
Then close the guest down, rename the VHD files and start it up. With
this approach the partitions will be adjusted and the new disk will be
truly bigger.

When I tested the VHDResizer 1.0.42 today (yes I have made a test run
before posting here) I ran into an additional problem in that the
copied VHD file would not boot properly the first time around. It
caused VPC2007 to totally hang and I had to kill it with Task Manager.
After this when I started VPC2007 up again it seemed to resume at the
lockup position and booted the guest, but as I said above with the
same size drive space and now with a large unused section on the
drive.

And I did not say anything about the BIOS, you might have
misunderstood my wording here. What I wanted to point out was that the
new bigger drive is not automatically the boot drive of the guest in
question because VHDResizer does not perform the file rename...
