16-bit Palm Desktop using USB Cradle for Synchronization

I'd like to run a legacy 16-bit windows application program and believe there
is no problem doing so on Vista 64 using Virtual PC.

I also need to use a Palm Desktop application (Version 4.1.4) via a USB
connected cradle to synchronize data between the virtual host and PalmOS PDA.
Can Virtual PC handle a USB-connected device or am I going to have problems
finding a special 64-bit driver for the Palm cradle device.

Largely depends what your legacy app does and, more specifically, whether it
needs any specific hardware or not... 64-bit Vista is irrelevant here, as
your legacy app will have no knowledge of it - all it will know about is the
OS in the VM on which it's running...

VPC doesn't support USB at all, unless the USB device can be shared via
standard networking...

Thanks, Mar. That pretty much says "No go" at this end. Appreciate the
comments.

I'm not familiar with it but you are looking for a New Message button.

It is the web UI as should be fairly self-evident given the
@discussions.microsoft.com email address of the poster. It is also trivial
to determine what news client someone is using by looking at the headers of
their posts.

One option might be to use a serial cradle instead, going from memory,
all Palm PDAs that came with that version could use serial or USB
cradles.
