Network folders can't be shared by Virtual PC

We are trying to set up a virtual PC to run a VPN client in as we lose our
network connections (Novell client) when ever we connect through the VPN
client.

we have used VPC before where we captured printer ports on the host PC and
then printed to LPT1: on the VPC allowing us to print to a network printer.
So I'm trying/hoping that we could do a shared folder in VPC to a (Novell)
mapped drive on the host side. but all we get is this:
"Network folders can't be shared by Virtual PC"

I know MS did this because of security but is there a way to turn this
checking off so it would work. (the users have to log into Novell first on
the host PC so there is no way of a security risk)

Re: Network folders can't be shared by Virtual PC

I would not try to do it through the shared folders option in VPC. (Yes
shared folders is still there in VPC. It is not available in Virtual
Server).

I would set up the VPC as if it was a separate machine on the LAN and
use network shares between host and guest.
