| | saved state I am using vpc 2007 sp1. I have the virtual machine stored on a removable hd. When I save the state on an xp machine I can not open the saved state on vista and have to delete the saved state. If I save it in the vista host then it works fine in xp. any ideas? |

If I save it in the vista host > then it works fine in xp. any ideas? Drag the vm from the Virtual Machine Console list onto the Vista desktop. That will create a shortcut with a Run As Administrator option on its context menu. Then when you want to wake it up doubleclick on the shortcut and run it with Run As Administrator and see if that lets you restore from saved state. |

| | Re: saved state Thanks it looks like it was a permission thing. Turned user account control off on the vista pc and it works fine.
