Anti virus software in VPC

Does anyone know if anti-virus software on the host will protect files on the
guest operating system or is it necessary to duplicate the software on the
guest?

You have to install an anti virus software also within the VM. You should
disable scanning of vhd-files on the host-system.

Re: Anti virus software in VPC

The VM is a separate machine, and will not be protected by the Host
Machine's anti-virus software. Whatever you would do to a physical machine
should be done to the VM as well.
