| | Problem with VHD rebooting I had to wipe out and reinstall my operating system, but my vhd was on another disk Now that I've reinstalled VPC 2007 - added another vm, and added the vhd to it, the first time it booted, it went through an extensive chkdsk before booting - - then, from then on, every time I try to boot the VHD, it gets almost through the boot process, then reboots - Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? |

| | Re: Problem with VHD rebooting You don't say what the guest OS is, but you can try booting into safe mode then rebooting, but I'm afraid the disk probably got corrupted, so a repair is about all you can do, an it's hard to tell how much you've lost. -- Bob Comer On Sat, 16 Aug 2008 15:32:04 -0500, "Seth Williams" <me-here@xxxxxx> wrote: Quote: >I had to wipe out and reinstall my operating system, but my vhd was on >another disk > >Now that I've reinstalled VPC 2007 - added another vm, and added the vhd to >it, the first time it booted, it went through an extensive chkdsk before >booting - - then, from then on, every time I try to boot the VHD, it gets >almost through the boot process, then reboots - > >Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? > |

| | Re: Problem with VHD rebooting It turns out there were just a ton of updates that had to be done - once that was finished, it stopped rebooting thanks all "Robert Comer" <bobcomer-removeme-@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:1peea49atf7omjhh8hamfqhcpcsqme6f8n@xxxxxx Quote: > You don't say what the guest OS is, but you can try booting into safe > mode then rebooting, but I'm afraid the disk probably got corrupted, > so a repair is about all you can do, an it's hard to tell how much > you've lost. > > -- > Bob Comer > > > On Sat, 16 Aug 2008 15:32:04 -0500, "Seth Williams" > <me-here@xxxxxx> wrote: > Quote: >>I had to wipe out and reinstall my operating system, but my vhd was on >>another disk >> >>Now that I've reinstalled VPC 2007 - added another vm, and added the vhd >>to >>it, the first time it booted, it went through an extensive chkdsk before >>booting - - then, from then on, every time I try to boot the VHD, it gets >>almost through the boot process, then reboots - >> >>Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? >> |
