Hello all,

I just bought me a brand new computer and installed Vista Ultimate x64 on it (amongst others).

Now I also want to install VPC 2007 on it and for some reason it just fails. No reason given whatsoever.
It installs perfectly untill 95% or so and then starts a rollback. After that it tells me that it couldn't be installed but that I should try later. Which I did... several times, but it just won't get installed...

I searched all over the web for a couple of days now, but I can't seem to find anyone with the same problem and with a solution... So I thought I'd ask you guys and hope someone has a solution for me.

Did you download VPC 2007 SP1? Also, you should take a look at the Release Notes for it:

I cant install vpc 2007 sp1 on my vista business 64. It tells me that the
wizard was aborted but i didnt do anything to cancel. Eventlogs just tells
event 1063. Dont what that means.

From looking around the internet, I think the VPC 2007 installation log will be here:

C:\Users\<your account name>\AppData\Local\Temp\VPCInstallLog.txt

Can you search for it and see if it exists?

Also, I wonder if you've tried installing VPC 2007 in safe mode? Or in normal mode with all your normal startup programs disabled using MSCONFIG.EXE?

I have the same issue as the OP. First, the 32 bit installer fails much
eariler than the 64-bit one, with a different message. Second, for some
reason when I try to change the path of installation, the installer crashes.

Any Ideas?
