You are missing the fact that the VMAdditions drag&drop and shared
folders feature is unable to handle large files and deep file/folder
structures. :-(

You are better off setting up and using normal network file sharing
between the guest and the host. That is rock solid. :-)

OK, I set up a folder on the Virtual PC and set sharing on it, and created a
shortcut to it on the Vista Desktop.... all works well that way...
