Clipboard between host and VM breaks

What's up with the clipboard between the host and a VM under VPC 2007?
It'll work for hours and then suddenly it just doesn't work any more.
It'll work on either side independently, you just can copy and paste
between the host and VM any longer. It's really annoying!

Is there some trick to clearing this up when it happens? I've seen
other messages in the group about it, but no solutions.

Thanks!

I can always copy between the host and the VM. What I can't do is copy from
the VM to the host. But I thought that was because the VM is Vista not
because it was Virtual PC.

I can copy either to either, but I have had it 'break' as the OP said.

With Vista it's likely a permissions issue.

I doubt it's a permissions issue since it works fine for a long time
and then suddenly stops working. It seems like a permissions issue
would just be broken all the time.

Usually it will clear up if I reboot the VM, but there's no telling
how long it will last. I saw some pages that mentioned a problem with
RDPCLIP.EXE when this sort of thing happens on a remote desktop
connection, but VPC uses a different mechanism so that doesn't help
me.

Has anyone seen this issue on a Hyper-V system? Maybe I should just go
the Win2008-as-a-workstation approach? I hate to re-do all my VM's
though.

Sorry, I was replying to the post above about only being able to copy
and paste one way, not to yours directly.

The identical feature is not in Hyper-V, so this same issue won't
appear.
Hyper-V is a lot different than Virtual PC. They are not feature
comparable, Hypver-V has no sound emulation, no drag and drop, and the
copy-paste feaure is text only and limited guest OS support.

However, performance is better, multiple cores are used, faster
networking, etc.

You can import some of your VMs, depending on the OS, you don't need
to recreate them.

No, Hyper-V does not support USB at this time.
