| | Ping xp virtual machine from Vista Host I have a laptop with Vista installed, and have installed VP 2007. I have created a Virtual machine running XP Professional. Ultimately, I wish to run some web based applications (Oracle) in the XP virtual machine and access them from the host (vista) eg using IE. However, i cannot even ping the xp virtual machine successfully at the moment. Please can anyone advise or point me in the direction of a site which gives guidance on networking between VM and host. Thanks in advance |

Next, make sure that your firewalls allow communication, this is the most common reason for no connectivity. -- Cheers, Steve Jain, Virtual Machine MVP http://vpc.essjae.com/ I do not work for Microsoft. |

People tend to forget. I spent hours just in trying to figure out why the network connectivity can not work from host to vpc.
