Can't connect to internet

I have Virtual PC 2007 running on W2K3 with SP2. VPC is an XP. The host
connects to internet througha wireless card. I'm using static IP. I have
installed "Virtual Machine Netwrok Service" on the wireless adaptor but the
problem is that VPC can't have a different IP address becuase it would
require autehtication to the router. So, to make the story short, how do I
get VPC to connect to internet?

Thanks,
Gilgamesh

Have you tried "Shared Networking"?

Re: Can't connect to internet

Yes, I have tried NAT as well. That didn't work either.

The other option is to use ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on the
host. This was designed to allow a second computer to share a Internet
connection. You install a Microsoft Loopback Adapter in the host (from the
add hardware option in control panel) then enable ICS on the host. You
configure ICS to use the NIC as the public interface and the loopback
adapter as the private interface. You link the NIC in the guest to the
loopback adapter network.

When you boot the guest it will get its network config from ICS and be
able to share the host's connection.
