VPC does not emulate a CD or DVD burner, ROM only.

Re: virtual pc 2007 roxio 2009

Steve,

So, can't burn CD's or DVDs within VPC? Any other hardware limitations?
How about low level access to serial or parallel ports? USB ports?

Thanks
Howard

All the hardware in the VM is emulated, except the CPU.
USB is not emulated by VPC. You can access parallel and serial ports.
For complete details check the VPC Help's section on Emulated Devices
in VPC.

Darn, I was hoping, since I could read a DVD, I would be able to write to one.

Thanks,

Ben

You may however be able to use roxio to write to an image recorder, 'burn'
to an ISO file, which you can transfer and burn elsewhere.
