| | Strange One SO here is a strange one. Ihave been using a Vista VM on XP (VPC 2007) for a month. I have a shared folder to transfer file between to two. All of a sudden I am getting right error for SOME of the files and they cannot be written from the VISTa VM to the XP host machine Any ideas? BTW everything else on both machines run fine and firewall on Host and Vista exclude the ip addresses of the other machine |

| | RE: Strange One Is shared folder lays on NTFS partition of host os? If so, recheck the permissions. Vista set more strict permissions, so there may be a conflict. Next, use chkdsk to check al partition for errors: I encounter a serios errors while using shared folders on multiprocessor systems and on systems with with hyperthreading enabled (random data corruption while copying files).
