Strange One

SO here is a strange one. Ihave been using a Vista VM on XP (VPC
2007) for a month. I have a shared folder to transfer file between to
two. All of a sudden I am getting right error for SOME of the files
and they cannot be written from the VISTa VM to the XP host machine

Any ideas?

BTW everything else on both machines run fine and firewall on Host and
Vista exclude the ip addresses of the other machine

Don't use shared folders. Use the network.

RE: Strange One

Is shared folder lays on NTFS partition of host os? If so, recheck the
permissions. Vista set more strict permissions, so there may be a conflict.
Next, use chkdsk to check al partition for errors: I encounter a serios
errors while using shared folders on multiprocessor systems and on systems
with with hyperthreading enabled (random data corruption while copying
files). Hope, you use latest version of VPC: vpc2007sp1 and vpc additions
from this version (at least 13.820).
