is it poosible to run a physical vista partition in vmware

many articles are written about creating a virtual machine from your windows xp. but i thought this must be an option for vista too. so i started reading some articles ho the did it with xp. but there is just one little problem i can't find anything about hardware profiles in vista. the reason why i want a virtual vista is beceause of my ubuntu is much more stable than vista. but i also need vista for some school stuff. so can anybody help me

You're in the wrong newsgroup - this one, as its name suggests, is for
    Microsoft Virtual PC.

For VMWare questions, you'd be better off using the VMWare forums...
