Go to the Virtual PC panel and make that partition a not saved one. then go into settings and uncheck your cd drive so it is not the secondary cd. Works for me.

I am convinced dialogue has collaped along with the world economy. In fact, it was the collapse of meaningful social narrative into babble that triggered the economic collapse. All we do is talk past each other and we never answer the question or provide a direct response. To demand an exact reply is treated as suspicious and incivil.

Indeed, the veil is lifting! All things are being made known, and know this, the emperor wears no clothes!

This thread explained that a person needs to install an operating system, and someone is courteous enough to explain the social barriers to obtaining an operating system (i.e. you have to own a license) but nobody quite ventures to say, if you are downloading a legacy operating system (pray tell where we might get that? Microsoft's virtualPC page? where they are NOT plainly labeled as such nor well explained), unpack it and put on a CD. Put the CD in the tray. Open Virtual PC. Is it something like that?

That's what I'm gonna try, because all the humans went back to walking on their knuckles while grasping a pretty shiny wheel, and I can't understand a thing any one of them is saying to me. Uhga uhga.

Re: Reboot and Select proper Boot device...

You have created a virtual machine. When you start it, it will try to
boot. There is nothing on the virtual hard disk, so it expects to find a
bootable floppy disk or CD/DVD.

What OS are you going to install in the vm? What format is the
installation media?
