Transferring Virtual PC disk files from one computer to another

I have just purchased a new computer running Vista 64-bit. My old computer
is a Vista 32-bit running Virtual PC 2007. I have several Virtual pc's on
my old computer that I need to transfer to my new Vista 64-bit computer
running Virtual PC 2007 64-bit. Can I transfer these Virtual PC's/disk
files to my new computer and have them run? If so how?

Thanks for your help.

Yes.

Virtual PC creates and maintains virtual machines in files on the host's
hard disk, just like e.g. Microsoft Excel creates and maintains worksheet
files on disk.

To copy your virtual machines from one place to another, use copy and paste
in Windows Explorer just as you would copy any other file from one location
to another...

After you copy both the .vmc and .vhd files to the new computer, as
long as they're in the same path locationm, i.e. d:\myVMs\
You can also copy the shortcuts from your old system to your new one
and not have to manually re-add them to the VPC List.
The short-cuts are located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application
Data\Microsoft\Virtual PC\Virtual Machines
You'll need to start VPC for it to create this folder, after that
close it, and then copy the shortcuts from your old system to your new
system.
