VPC 2007 + Intel Series 4 + Vista 32 = Bad performance jerky mouse

Hi

I got a new laptop (DELL Latitude E6400 vista 32bit) which shows a very bad
performance when running my VPC image (windows 2003 server) on VPC 2007 with
sp1.Main problem is a jerky mouse and heavy stutters. The odd thing is that
the same image is running smooth on my old laptop (DELL Latitude D610 XP Pro)
with a lot worse hardware.

Thinks I already tried to solve the Problem:

- Change memory of guest OS from 1GB up to 2GB
- Change video card memory of guest OS up to 128MB (by editing vmc file)
- uninstalled MS VM Additions
- switched hardware virtualization on/off (old one doesn’t have HV)

My guess is it got to be connected to the new hardware chipset/video card
Intel series 4 (gm45). Hope u got ideas to solve the problem cause like this
I can’t work with my image.

THX

This helped VPC run on my HP 6910p laptop (it's performance was very
uneven as well) I set the power management to always on first, then:

This also helped my VM running under Vista Home Premium 64-bit on a
Toshiba Satellite. My VM is now running smoothly.
