| | Scanner does not work for W98 Virtual PC in WinXP In the past I have used a dual boot system for W98 and Wxp. My Visioneer One Touch scanner works with W98 (no driver was developed for XP). I decided to install W98 as a virtual PC in Win XP Pro. I cannot get the scanner to work. If the scanner is powered on when I start XP I get a hardware error because Visioneer only developed a driver for W98. I have tried to connect/power on the scanner when I am in W98 virtual PC but that does not work either. In order to use peripheral equipment is it necessary for Win XP to have a driver for the specific peripheral equipment? Do I have to go back to dual boot to use the scanner? |
