| | Many Folders Missing on Drive Shared With Host I'm a novice with VPC, but I did use briefly about 2 years ago. I've just created a virtual machine that has XP Pro as the operating system. I need access to a drive on my main machine so I used the Share Folders feature to make the drive available. The problem is most of the folders in the root directory are missing. There are about 60 folders in the real drive but the shared version only has 5 of them. What's happening and how do I fix it? jim |

What can be considered many or big is probably rather small in your mind. In any case it is juat a means to handle a few files at most. The simple fix is: Don't use the shared folders feature of VPC. Connect between guest and host using Windows regular network folder sharing instead. That is rock solid! -- Bo Berglund (Sweden) |
