| | Virtual PC 2007:Vista SP1 Performs Unacceptable,Vista w/o SP1 Run Well I am running an XP computer. I installed Virtual PC and started tested Vista. This was running fine. Once I installed Vista SP1, performance has hot rock bottom. The installation took hours. After the installation, boot-up and performance is so bad it may as well be a Blue Screen. Is there anything that needs to be configured to make Vista SP1 run well under virtual PM? I reinstalled Vista w/o SP1 and all is fine again |

| | Re: Virtual PC 2007:Vista SP1 Performs Unacceptable,Vista w/o SP1 Run Well I am not sure why the Vista SP1 did not install correctly. The install package was downloadedfrom TechNe. I have 1 GB of RAM dedicated to the VM and have virtual machine additions installed. It took way too long to install. I did run the Vista test to ensure the PC was within Vista compliance. To ensure all was well, I downloaded the Vista w/o SP1 from technet. The virtual machine was running fine with this installation. I proceded to run all the Vista updates including SP1. All is running well now. It may have been a conflict with the Virtual PC and Vista SP1 load.
