| | Sharing Folders Via Network Folder Hello. I am new to Virtual PC. I have a new computer with Vista Home. One software package that I depend on is not compatable. Software upgrade is expensive. I know Virtual PC is not supported on Vista Home, but it works on Vista Home. I've installed Virtual PC and installed XP and the software. I installed Virtual Additions but I cannot share the data file for the software which file is on the host PC. I've read here that the share folder option is not the best way to do this. I read something about using a network folder. What is that and how do I use it in my circumstance? Many thanks. |

If you have never used file sharing, read the help files on file sharing in the OS of the machine you want to share a file from. |

I had the same problem with some older programs that could not be installed under Vista. I succeeded nevertheless by using compatability mode. For that you rightclick the .exe file of the program, go to properties where you get that possibility. You then have the choise to install as if in XP or even win98. Hans |
