Hi all,
I have an application softwre that use to monitor an external device via COM

monitoring two such device via 02 COM port on PC?
Any comment is appreciated.

I assume you mean this:
- Install VPC2007
- Create a virtual machine
- Install a suitable operating system on the VM (you failed to
indicate what kind of operating system your monitoring software runs
on....)
- Install the monitoring software in the virtual machine operating
system
- Configure the monitoring software to connect to two RS232 devices
via two com ports

The basics are available for this to work:
- Configure the virtual machine in the VPC2007 console to use two COM:
ports on the host PC as their MOM1: and COM2: respectively.
- Connect the devices to the host serial ports
- Run your monitoring software in the guest

But there are isses with this that depends on how the monitoring
software is designed. If it uses event driven reception of data then
it may not work reliably if you use VPC2007. There is a bug there that
seems to interfere with such communication.
In that case you are beter off using VPC2004SP1 where this works fine
(I use it all the time with an OS/2 guest operating system).
However, I think that if your host is Vista you cannot install
VPC2004SP1. I think that you need VPC2007 in order to be compatible
with a Vista host.
