Sound doesn't work in Vista - Guest: XP

Hi all

I have Windows Vista as the host, I've installed Xp SP3 whit the last
updates, but the sound doesn't work.
I already verified:
- Virtual PC 2007 Sp1
- VM Additions installed
- Under Device Manager, all sound devices are good
- In settings from Virtual PC, the option "enable sound card" is enabled

Thank for you help!

I see that you say that VM Additions is installed.

That should have installed the sound drivers for Vista.

In the Vista VM, in Control panel>Sound, does the state shown in the
"Playback" and "Sounds" look to be in order?

In the VM systray, is the sound icon shown as working or does it have a
red X?

Hmmm, the OP stated that Vista is the *host* and the guest runs XP
SP3. XP should cope just fine with the sound hardware inside the
guest....

Re: Sound doesn't work in Vista - Guest: XP

I'm having problems with the sound in XP SP3 as the guest under Windows Vista
as the host as well. The sound plays but is very choppy... I wish I could
resolve this somehow... Any ideas / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
