| | Virtual PC loses network connectivity Hi, I have posted this question about a year ago, and am trying a repost in the hopes someone can help. Host : Dell, XP SP 3 with Intel PRO 1000/PL NIC Guest : XP SP3, set to access my net card directly. Sometimes on booting up a VPC it cannot see the network. Sometimes after running for a few hours network connectivity from the VPC dies. If I go into Network Connections on the guest, disable the NIC and then enable it this cures it. Another cure is to go into the settings for the VPC and set the network connection to none, leave it a few seconds, then set it back to my host's Intel PRO 1000. Any ideas anyone, please? TVMIA, Adam. ============================== Adam.Benson@xxxxxx |

| | Re: Virtual PC loses network connectivity > have you simply tried your connectivity w/o the security enabled? Not sure what security you mean. When the network goes on the guest machine I can't even ping the host machine, never mind other machine within the same LAN. If it was security it would work or not work, wouldn't it? Not work for several hours then die. Thanks anyway, Adam.
