ipv4 address: duplicate, how to fix it

Hi folks
i am trying to set up 3 vpc on host with 1 nic.
2 of them are working. One is not.
when i look at ipconfig /all, i see next:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Intel 21140-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapt
(Emulated)
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-03-FF-A8-3F-B0
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::d02a:7730:9b83:7add%10(Preferred)
Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : 169.254.122.221(Preferred)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.3.104(Duplicate)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.3.254
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.3.102
NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled

Entries for 'Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address' and 'IPv4 Address.' look
strange to me. I can't ping this vpc and ping other vpc even though firewall
is off on it and other vpc's.

is there limitations on how many emulations can be set up on single NIC?
Do you have any clues on how to fix these entries? I went to properties and
did what I did for others. But this vpc is reluctant to change it's settings
- prefered and duplicate ip's still show wrong entries.

As far as I can tell from the information you've provided, this virtual
machine (VM) is configured as a DHCP client but can't find a DHCP server.
See the following article for more details:
http://www.computing.net/answers/net...s-c/22962.html

Have a look at the Networking Settings for this VM in the VPC console and
check that the virtual NIC is pointing at your host's physical NIC...
