Vista - Virtual PC can't get on Internet

I have a Virtual Windows XP in Vista. It's been working good since I
installed it 6 months ago. All of a sudden, I can't get on the Internet.
Putting the cursor on the Local Area Connection Icon informs me that I have
“Limited or no connectivity.� In the Local Area Connection Status Dialog box
it says: “This problem occurred because the network did not assign a network
address to the computer.� I'm not real computer literate so from here on in
I'm stumped! Could someone please give me a step by step procedure on
assigning the network address to this VPC? Thank You.

Hi,
you could double check your connection to the network. My take is to use
NAT. and don't forget to set your firewall to allow communications, if any.

It later says this on the guest, too. I already tried disabling my firewall

I don't know how this happened, because it worked before and I don't know of
