Operating System

I installed Virtual PC 2007 on a Windows Vista Home Premium (64 bit) to be
able to run a couple of application under a 32 bit OS. Do I need to install
a fully licensed OS or is there another way to get a XP Pro OS under the
Virtual PC system.

One way or another, you need to install an operating system...

Apart from a handful of very specific circumstances, Microsoft treats
virtual machines as exactly the same as physical machines in terms of
licensing.

Whether you choose to remain compliant with Microsoft's EULA is, of course,
your decision - however, you will be required to authenticate the copy of
the OS after 30 days just as if you'd installed it on a physical machine...

Re: Operating System

I have vista Home Premium and I cannot download Virtual PC 2007.I get the
following message:"your current security settings do not allow this file to
be downloaded" I have changed alll my security settings to Low or enable but
it didn't help. I would like to know how " XPS 12-08" managed to accomplish
it.
