MS DOS on virtual PC

Hello,
Is it possible to load MS-DOS as a virtual machine on Virtual PC?
I have a DOS based accounting program (One Write Plus) that I would like to
run.
Thanks,
Don

Yes it is, though this is no longer officially supported in VPC 2007 - works
well
enough though... If you need the DOS Additions, you'll need to get them from
a
VPC 2004 install or download them from Steve Jain's site:

This is good news. Maybe I won't have to delete my VPC 2007. Are there any
helpful sites for downloading and installing DOS?
Thanks,
Don

Re: MS DOS on virtual PC

MS Dos is still a licensed operating system (believe it or not), you can't
legally download it anywhere. Check out freedos

MS-DOS isn't available as a free download... It is available, however, to
MSDN / TechNet subscribers...

As for installing it (assuming you have access to a copy of MS-DOS 6.22),
it's simply a matter of inserting Disk 1, acquiring it in the VM and then
rebooting the VM.

DOS will boot from the Disk 1 and, thereafter, it's basically just a matter
of proceeding through the installation wizard...

Re: MS DOS on virtual PC

While not directly related to VPC, go here for general DOS help.

I think I have DOS installation disks from an old computer and I think I
bought a MS DOS 6.2 (not 6.22) upgrade back around 1995. Will those work?
