| | Vista Ultimate 64 I have Vista Ultimate 64. I need to run some programs under the 32 bit version of Vista. 1. Do I download the 32 bit version of Virtual PC 2007, or the 64? There is no where to provide the bit version when creating a vertial pc. Do I have to acutally install the 32 bit version in the virtual just to run a couple of Visual Studio 2005 programs? I cant get SQL Express 2005 to install in the 64 bit version. I truly need to find some dummy instruction book.. tks Sorry about sounding confused, but I am. |

(or 16-bit too actually) There's no support for 64-bit guests. -- Bob Comer On Fri, 2 Jan 2009 17:18:01 -0800, Chet <Chet@xxxxxx> wrote: Quote: >I have Vista Ultimate 64. This installes the same 32 bit VPC2007 system on your PC as on Vista 32, except some lowlever drivers are 64 bit. Any virtual machine you create using VPC2007 must have an operating system installed onto it just like a normal bare metal physical PC. So you need the installation media and the license to go for this. Note that no matter which bit size the host operating system is VPC2007 is only able to create 32 bit virtual machines and therefore you can only install 32 bit operating systems into such a machine. -- Bo Berglund (Sweden) |
