| | DHCP Request on initial START fails I have set up a Xp Virtual Machine on VPC on Vista Ultimate. When I press Start, it seems to boot through to the next screen where it tries to get a DHCP with a MAC address stated but it fails. I have set my ADSL Ethernet Client Filter to accept the stated MAC address but without success regardless of the network setting (Local, NAT, Intel on MB.) It finds my 2 Actual PC's on my home network) Any suggestions?? -- erich |

If there is no bootable media, the VM will attempt to boot from a network source as the last option (which is what you are seeing). -- Cheers, Steve Jain, Virtual Machine MVP http://vpc.essjae.com/ |
