| Guest | detecting hardware support I have a desktop machine that has an intel CPU that supports hardware virtualization. Is there a way to determine if VPC is actually making use of it? Contacting the manufacturer, support states the machine supports it. I do not see a bios setting for it, which I am used to seeing. Is there a utility out there somewhere that would test to see if it is actually enabled? |

| Guest | Re: detecting hardware support If you have a VM running, there's a performance counter "HVM-VP is in HVM mode’ " in the Virtual Processor section that is a value of "1" if VT is being used and "0" if not. (but a VM has to be running) -- Bob Comer On Tue, 6 Jan 2009 06:46:02 -0800, Don Glover <corwyn at kolvir dot com> wrote: Quote: >I have a desktop machine that has an intel CPU that supports hardware >virtualization.
