Vista - how do you install office on windows 7? via a cd

Yes I read the help section but I am lost, Ok I stick the cd into the
drive- and it comes up in vista instead of the virtual windows 7. I cannot
figure out how to get it into Windows 7
Please explain

nevermind- I just figured it out
when putting in a regular cd with my files on it- a box popped up and asked
me if I wanted to open it- the box popped up inside windows 7 (which I am
assuming it is part of the vm)
it loaded the files and I was able to copy and paste them into Documents in
Windows 7

but I really cannot figure out why I have sound on logon and shutdown but no
sound when I try to play music or try to see a video on ie8.

I looked in device manager on Windows 7 and it is showing the virtual audio
driver and it shows that it is working properly.
